Dancing / Feel wind

This project is for a new chapel located on the premises of a resort hotel in Hainan, China. The region is blessed by tropical winds and is warm all year round, which makes it famous as a resort and tourist area. The roof is designed to appear as if it is a soft piece of cloth, dancing and floating elegantly above the pond, rather than an enclosed space. Its half-open space allows visitors to feel nature all around them. The roof edge takes on a corrugated shape, allowing those inside to take in the beautiful natural landscape surrounding the building from the open space inside. The top of the structure is designed to emit a soft light.
